My time here at Muhlenberg has allowed me to build confidence in my communication skills with substantial practice. My courses with Dr. Michael London specifically took me out of my comfort zone by participating in TA (teacher’s assistant) sessions as a means of working with the co-created classroom model that Dr. London follows and encourages. In these sessions you lead an entire class on your own with the support of the Professor, and I recently gave a class on Leading with Meaning to my entire Leadership class. Communication was key to bring this presentation to life, taking the time to communicate plans with Dr. London as well as by communicating with my classmates throughout the entirety of the class period.
